A Waynesburg man has been indicted on drug charges thanks to the efforts of a multi-county investigation.
Michael Lombardi was arrested on April 26 on eight counts by a federal grand jury.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office conducted a several-months investigation into Lombardi, along with the Carrollton Police Department, the Jefferson County Sherriff's Office, the Stark County Sheriff's Office, ATF agents, and the LEAD Task Force.
A search warrant was executed on Lombardi's residence at 7505 Elson Street SE in Waynesburg.
According to Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams, Lombardi was trafficking drugs into the Stark, Carroll and Jefferson counties. His eight federal indictments range from distribution of methamphetamine to illegal possession of a firearm.
"This investigation was successful due to the cooperation between all the local and federal agencies, as well as all of the long hours spent by them conducting this lengthy investigation," stated Sheriff Williams.
