Twenty years ago this week: Patty Larkins and Helen Trompower, members of Canton South Junior Guild attended the Naturalization ceremony held on Feb. 14 as a project of the International Affairs Committee. Also attending from the area were Larry Krebs and Rodger Trompower. We specifically attended this particular ceremony to see Koji Cheng (of Peking Restaurant) review his oath of citizenship.

As a resident of East Canton, I would like to use a few lines of Talk of The Towns to solute our community. As you may have heard or read, the HOPE organization has been working on getting senior housing. It will be located on Route 44 starting west of Orchard Avenue. Orchard only goes east off of Route 44 at this time. Many of the local East Canton residents have been working for a couple years to get senior housing. Take time to attend any open meetings that may come up. The citizens of the village of East Canton and Osnaburg Township are blessed with all the businesses right at our front door. Remember that, when you spend you money, support our local people so we keep every business within an arms reach.
