Soup to be served

Homemade bean and vegetable soup is available at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 306 W. Church St. in East Canton. The cost is $7 per quart. Orders must be placed by March 15, and pick-up is March 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds help the outreach missions of the church. Otterbein United Methodist Church

The Otterbein United Methodist Church will hold Lunch after Church, Sunday, March 19, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The menu includes pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, applesauce, rolls, beverage and dessert.

Cost is adults, $8; children 6-12, $4 and 5 and under, free.

This is being prepared and served by the youth and the proceeds will go to the youth fund for their expenses to go to Youth Annual Conference at Lakeside, Ohio in June.

The lunch is open to the public. Carryouts will be available.

Melissa and Mark Diekmann are the Youth Directors, Rev. Ralph R. Krall is the Pastor and the Rev. Scott Hayward is the Minister of Visitation.

This month's Free Community Meal is Tuesday, March 21. The meal is served from 5- 6:30 p.m. and includes macaroni and cheese, applesauce, cornbread, beverages and dessert.

This outreach ministry is sponsored by the FaithKeepers Sunday school class. The meal is open to the public. All are invited to share in this time of fellowship & food.

The church is located at 6025 Shepler Church Road S.W., just 1/8 mile south of the Fohl Road/Shepler Church intersection.

St. James

St. James Hall will hold Lenten fish frys on Fridays through April 7.

Dinners will be served 5-7:30 p.m. at the hall located at 400 W. Lisbon St. in Waynesburg.

The menu will feature a beer battered pollock or baked cod fish dinner, french fries or rice, cole slaw or applesauce, rolls, coffee, drinks and dessert. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for children under 4.

Foltz Community Center

Fish dinners will be held on Fridays during Lent through April 14 at the Foltz Community Center in East Canton. Dinners will be served from 4:30-7 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. For more information, call 330-488-6500.

Meals on Wheels

Local nutrition sites for Meals on Wheels are North Industry Christian Church, 425 45th St., Canton; Indian Run Manor, Waynesburg; Louisville Paradise United Church of Christ, 619 E. Main St. Louisville, OH 44641; and Canton YMCA, 231 Sixth St. For more information, call 330-832-7220.

The menu for March 13-17 is as follows:

Monday: Meatball sub, scalloped potatoes, Italian green beans, juice, mandarin oranges

Tuesday: Beef stew, apple, pineapple, carrot salad, biscuit, shortbread cookie

Wednesday: Baked chicken, augratin potatoes, brussel sprouts, wheat bread, peaches,

Thursday: Salisbury steak, garlic mashed potatoes, buttered peas, assorted bread, fruited fluff

Friday: Vegetable soup, egg salad on croissant, kidney bean salad, regular or unsweetened fruited gelatin

Margarine is served with all breads. Milk choices include skim, 2 percent or chocolate. All canned fruits are packed in juice
