Pike Grange held their regular meeting on March 21 after having to cancel the meeting because of snow on the March 14. It was the annual Inspection Night with county deputies Ed and Miriam Cochran. Lunch began at 6 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7 p.m.
Master President Jane Barr opened the meeting. Following the opening, a presentation from the insurance company was made. The new insurance was adopted.
Family Activities reminded members to have their items for the contest ready. She announce that she would be going to Spring Fling at Friendly Hills.
The banquet chairman announced that there would be a banquet on April 20. She gave a financial report on the last couple of banquets.
Community Service reported on the upcoming Swiss steak dinner on April 29 beginning at 4 p.m. To purchase tickets, call Charlotte Reynolds at 330-484-2973. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12. Come and enjoy a great meal with family and friends.
New place mats and tickets were displayed. They were furnished by The Print Shop. Thank you to them for their kindness.
Deaf Activities continued the "Suggestions for the Family" for folks wearing hearing aids. It was asked that all pop tabs be brought in by the April meeting. Box tops and hearing aids and parts can be brought in as well.
The Executive Committee will update fire extinguishers and the men's bathroom fixtures.
The Lecturer reminded the members that the April meeting date has been changed to April 18, because it is the night of the County Traveling Program. Our guest will be Lexington and Plain granges. They will sit in the chairs and present the Lecturer program. Lunch will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the 7 p.m. meeting.
Two members were nominated for delegates in October. The county list will be compiled and then voted on before May.
Three members will attend Spring Fling and three to Lecturers and Community Service conferences in April.
Voted to support Asa Houchin, National Grange Ambassador from Ohio, to come to the county banquet on April 26.

April is Grange Month, and Pike will have a display at the East Sparta Library.

Mary Ebner, Flora announced that Paul Mosberger had surgery and is now back to work.
Joyce Selby had her last treatment on Tuesday. Hope everyone can stay healthy with the up and down weather we've had.
