Lady Cardinals capture triangular

The Lady Cardinals bested Hiland and Strasburg during a triangular, leading the way with 74 points. The Lady Hawks were second with 68, and the Lady Tigers were third with 22.

Firsts went to Alana Hill in the shot (28'9.5), Julianna Borsellino in the discus (91'), Meghan Hughes in the pole vault (6'6), the 4x800 (11:57.84), Mercedes Sarver in the 800 (2:51.5) and 3200 (13:30.94), the 4x100 (55.81) and Allison Griffin in the 200 (30.0).

Placing second were Borsellino in the shot (27'3), Allison Eyster in the discus (78'4), Baylee Offenberger in the high jump (4'8), the 4x200 (2:00.72), Sarver in the 1600 (6:12.37), Maggie Lampe in the 3200 (14:13.97), and the 4x400 (4:50.75).

Finishing third were Olivia Crone in the shot (25'6.5), Hill in the discus (75'5), Anna Daniska in the 1600 (6:47.65) and 800 (3:01.91) and Offenberger in the 400 (1:10.75).

Fourths went to Regan Finnicum in the shot (24'11.5), Hughes in the 100 (14.75), and Olivia Costello in the 400 (1:12.04).

Firsts went to Offenberger in the high jump (4'8), Sarver in the 1600 (5:59.8), Costello in the 400 (1:08.6), and the 4x400 (4:50.4).

Placing second were the 4x800, the 4x200, Sarver in the 1600, the 4x100, and Alicia Costello in the 400.

Finishing third were Hill in the shot, Hughes in the pole vault, Sarver in the 800 and Lampe in the 3200.

Fourths went to Borsellino in the discus, Finnicum in the shot, Kiannah Sarver in the 800, and Kye Mastri in the 3200.

Girls are 12th at invite

The Lady Cardinals finished 12th at the Larry Cogan Invitational.

Halie Sciury was third in the long jump with a leap of 14'11; the 4x200 consisting of A. Costello, O. Costello, Offenberger and Ruby Behm finished sixth in 1:58; the 4x100 consisting of A. Costello, O. Costello, Alison Griffin and Hughes was sixth in 55.77; and O. Costello was eighth in the 400 (1:06.15).

Boys Track

The boys finished second in a triangular with Hiland and Strasburg.

The Hawks amassed 83 points, the Cardinals had 69 and the Tigers finished with 12.

Placing first were Connor Finnicum in the shot (41'9), Kinzy Swiger in the discus (115'7), the 4x800 (9:26.59), Isaac Knight in the 800 (2:21.97), Aleks Rymer in the 400 (56.15), and the 4x400 (3:53.52).

Seconds went to Francesco Borsellino in the shot (40'10), Finnicum in the discus (111'4), Dean Freitag in the high jump (5'2), Michael Lewton in the 1600 (5:09.24), Rymer in the 200 (25.4), and Bronson Frank in the 3200 (11:53).

Finishing third were Swiger in the shot (37'10), Brandon O'Bradovich in the long jump (16'11), Knight in the pole vault (8'6), Nash Monroe in the 1600 (5:17.52) and 800 (2:29.88), Finnicum in the 100 (12.68), and Freitag in the 3200 (12:50.28), the 110 hurdles (21.34) and 300 hurdles (51.72).

Fourths went to Elijah Eyster in the shot (33'5), Haiden King in the 300 hurdles (59.78), and O'Bradovich in the 200 (26.16).

Placing first were Swiger in the discus (120'11), Borsellino in the shot (41'9), Monroe in the 800 (2:17), the 4x800 (9:15), Rymer in the 200 (24.5), and Lewton in the 3200 (13'6).

Finnicum was second in the shot.

Thirds went to Freitag in the high jump and 110 hurdles, Lewton in the 1600, the 4x100, Rymer in the 400, Freitag in the 300 hurdles, and the 4x400.

Finishing fourth were O'Bradovich in the long jump, Monroe in the 1600, Freitag in the 800, and Frank in the 3200.

Boys are 9th at Carrollton

The Cardinals competed in the Larry Cogan Invitational this past Friday night.

Freitag won the triple jump with a distance of 35'; Swiger was fourth in the discus (123'3); the 4x800 consisting of Lewton, Rymer, Frank and Knight was sixth in 9:01.73; and Rymer was sixth in the 400 (53.89) and eighth in the 800 (2:07.83).

Sandy Valley will compete at the Woodridge Invitational this Saturday, May 6.
