Four nights of free entertainment will return to Magnolia this summer. Music in the Park will return on Mondays in July at the Magnolia Village Park with a different theme each night. All performances start at 7 p.m.
The 167th annual Stark County Fair will return to the fairgrounds in Canton Aug. 30-Sept. 5. The fair features a number of end-of-summer-fun events including live entertainment, rides and concessions.
There are several cruise-ins at unique venues throughout Stark County this summer. Bring the whole family out to the vineyard at the Gervasi Vineyard Cruise-in every Wednesday from June through September.
The Sandy and Beaver Canal Days return to Magnolia Aug. 12-14. The weekend features traditional events including a free children's fishing derby sponsored by Stark Parks on Aug. 13. Children's activities are set up throughout the weekend at Magnolia Park as is live entertainment.

The Sandy Valley Pool will open for business on Saturday, May 28. Hours will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. A concession stand will be open and will sell pizza, lunchables, slushies, pretzels, nachos and soft-serve ice cream.
East Sparta will host its 78th annual Homecoming June 23-25. Plenty of concessions, rides and entertainment will be part of the three-day event. Rides will be provided by the Nolan Amusements & Company. Advance sales tickets will be $12 as will the Saturday matinee tickets.
The 12th annual Chase Faiello Golf Outing will be June 25 at Wilkshire Golf Club in Bolivar. The four-man scramble features two flights with the first shotgun start time at 7:30 a.m. and the second at 1:30 p.m.

The Canton South class of 2015 gathered at the Palace Theater in downtown Canton May 26 for graduation ceremonies. Principal Jeff Moore was the first to welcome the newest graduating class before the Canton South choir performed. Moore then brought Tessa Hollinger to the stage.
The 2015 class of East Canton High School held its commencement ceremony on May 24 in the school's auditorium. A total of 58 students crossed the stage to get their diploma. Valedictorian for the class was Megan Gothard. Salutatorian was Rachel Vincent.
The Class of 2015 celebrated its graduation May 24 in a ceremony at Sandy Valley High School. A class of 115 received their high school diplomas during the 61st annual commencement, held inside the gymnasium of the high school.
